Elite sporting goods store sought to offer higher-end brands in their merchandise selection. In order to secure more popular products, Elite needed a store design update that would complement existing and new merchandise. Chandler’s passion for store design and project planning was a knockout for Elite—and the rest is history.
Elite’s overall goals were to increase retail sales, create an open floor plan with better sight lines, produce a contemporary look and feel, and develop merchandise departments. To attract shoppers, the layout incorporates a variety of vignettes on the store floor and custom graphics along the walls.
The store focal point is a custom shoe wall that wraps along a portion of the store perimeter. The shoes appear to be floating with virtually no visible attachments or brackets supporting product from the following brands: Timberland, Under Armour, Nike, The North Face, Oakley and Dr. Martens.
Chandler’s design concepts modernized the space, optimized merchandising layouts, improved store flow with an open concept and added new displays to showcase featured product.
Since opening the updated store, Elite has increased its sales by 30 percent.
